HEALING
Our Commitment

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC). I am currently working toward my Ph.D. in the Counseling Psychology Ph.D. program at the University of Northern Colorado. I am also a graduate of the University of Denver, where I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

For the past six years, I have gained extensive experience providing mental health services in the Denver metro area. My work as a psychotherapist has occurred in various settings, including private practice, community mental health, adult outpatient treatment programs, and university psychological services clinics.

The diversity of these experiences has significantly impacted and informed my clinical approach. My clinical approach as a therapist is rooted in healing, social justice and is trauma-oppression-informed. I am committed to creating a space of unconditional acceptance and support by showing up to this space with authenticity, compassion, and empathy.

I engage in my work by being grounded in my identity as an immigrant Black Woman and view intersectionality as the foundation for therapeutic exploration and change. I offer tools and support to empower my clients by building resilience and improving their sense of safety, belonging, pride, community, and healing.

As a therapist, I am committed to creating a space where all voices are valued and respected. I strive to center and elevate the experiences of those who have been historically marginalized—including but not limited to Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), LGBTQIA+ individuals, low-income communities, and immigrants/undocumented folx—while also welcoming anyone seeking support.

You are the expert on your own story, and your experiences deserve to be heard, honored, and understood. Together, we will explore your emotions, relationships, community dynamics, and the broader systems that may shape your life. At the same time, we will identify practices that foster healing, resilience, and growth.

My mission is to provide compassionate, evidence-based therapy that empowers all clients to adapt, heal, and thrive—while nurturing the interconnected healing and liberation we all long for.

I am passionate about finding ways to create and embrace joy in myself and others. Outside of my work as a therapist, I like to think of myself as a “television athlete,” and I enjoy meaningful connections and listening to audiobooks. In my free time, you’ll often find me hiking, spending time with my family and dogs, or in the kitchen reminiscing and perfecting Jamaican recipes from my childhood.
